On the way to the "information super-highway

By watching the evolution and continued growth of broadband internet in recent years, one quickly notices that today's data rates and the average internet speed aren't going to support future demands of multi-media and triple-play users. Online gaming, IP TV in HD and SuperHD, video-on-demand and other bandwidth consuming services will use up the currently available capacity. Sufficient bandwidth for future services can only be guaranteed by deploying FTTH networks, providing access to the Super-Information-Highway from every home and office.

But building the super-information-highway will take a longe time. As we all know, the installation of a nationwide CATV-network took almost 2 decades in Germany, from the early eighties until the late nineties of the last millennium. Since there is no more monopolist, who was obliged to provide broadband services in the old days, even where it did not make sense commercially, we now have to expect a much longer deployment time before everybody has the option to connect.

One of the challenges of our time is to develop and deploy technologies that help narrowing the gap between copper and glass, and hence guaranteeing the highest quality of service (QoS). ANPEQ offers attractive, competitive and sustainable solutions to do exactly that: Providing access!
